My cousin, Alexa, brought me an air fryer for my birthday, and I’ve been obsessed with it ever since! After a week of making crispy fries, I decided to make buffalo wings with lemon and pepper. The bomb is out! Let’s get into it!
Ingredients:
wings
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon all-purpose spice or adobo
2 pounds chicken wings (cut into barrels and flattened)
Lemon, pepper and buffalo sauce
1/2 cup frank hot red sauce
2 tsp unsalted butter
1 tsp minced garlic
2 1/2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
1 tablespoon lemon and pepper seasoning
Additional tsp. of lemon and pepper seasoning
Directions:
Drying theΒ chicken wiith paper towels
Season the chicken with lemon seasoning, pepper, all-purpose pickle, onion powder, garlic powder, and vegetable oil.Set air fryer to 380 degrees F . Place the wings in a basket and cook for 12 minutes per side (work in batches if you can’t lay all the wings flat in a single layer)
Raise the heat to 400F and cook for another 5 minutes
While the chicken is cooking, you can make the sauce
Melt 2 tsp of butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.Mix minced garlic, hot sauce, honey and lemon pepper
When the chicken is done cooking, transfer it to a bowl and toss with the sauce until the chicken is completely covered
Optional: add an extra teaspoon each of lemon and pepper seasoning to the covered chicken
Serve &Β enjoy!
