Ingredients:
Chocolate Chip Cookie Layer:
2 large Eggs
¾ c white sugar
1 ¼ c chocolate chips
2 ¼ c all-purpose flour
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 c unsalted butter melted and cooled
¾ c brown sugar
¼ tsp salt
Oreo Layer:
24 Oreo cookies
Brownie Layer:
½ c all-purpose flour
1 ½ c white sugar
2 tbsp cocoa powder
3 large Eggs
½ tsp salt
â…” c unsalted butter cubed
8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate* finely chopped
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Line with parchment paper a 9×13-inch baking pan. Make sure to have an overhang.
For the Chocolate Chip Cookie Layer:
In a mixing bowl, add melted butter, white sugar, and brown sugar. Beat until well blended.
Add the eggs gradually and beat every addition until well blended.
Add vanilla extract and stir until well blended.
Add the salt and flour, then beat again until well blended.
Add the chocolate chips and stir just until combined.
Move the mixture into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
For the Oreo Layer:
Scatter the Oreo cookies over the dough and press them gently.
For the Brownie Batter:
Melt the butter and chocolate inside the microwave, then stir until well blended.
In a separate bowl, add the sugar and eggs. Whisk until well blended.
Transfer the chocolate mixture into the bowl with the egg mixture, then whisk until well blended.
Add the cocoa powder, salt, and flour. Stir until well blended.
Add the mixture on top of the Oreos and spread it evenly.
Place it inside the preheated oven and bake the brownies for 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean after inserting it in the middle.
Remove from the oven and allow the brownies to rest completely at room temperature.
