My mother used to make us these beautiful roasted apple slices from time to another, and I remember we used to fight over them! Check out her recipe.
You’ll Need:
2 tbsps of butter.
2 large peeled, cored and sliced baking apples.
2 tbsps of brown sugar.
1 tbsp of white sugar.
½ tsp of allspice.
A pinch of ground cloves.
2 tbsps of cool water.
½ tsp of cornstarch.
How to:
While the oven is preheating to 400° place the butter in the casserole dish and place it in the oven.
In a bowl, toss the apple slices with brown sugar, white sugar, cinnamon, allspice and cloves.
Fold the apple slices over the butter and toss to coat.
Roast for 15 minutes.
Add the water and cornstarch to the apples and mix to combine.
Put back the casserole in the oven for 5 minutes.
Let cool for 5 minutes and serve!
Easy, peasy and sweet! We usually use this as a side dish, but serve it whenever you want! Let me know if you like it!
