If over the years I have learned something, it is that KFC is my go-to side dish fast-food restaurant. If I know I’m getting friends over or too tired to cook, I sometimes even go buy some. They have such a wide range of mouth-watering alternatives that they change almost daily, making it too hard to pick the right ones.

However, for sweet, flaky biscuits, I have always been a sucker and theirs are by far the best I have ever had. They are simultaneously flaky, buttery, soft, and crisp. Not even grandma will make these kinds of biscuits!
These delicious and flaky KFC biscuits are the best biscuits you’ll ever make! It takes only a few minutes to cook, and a wide range of foods can be eaten alongside.

INGREDIENTS:

* 250g Of all-purpose flour
* 128 Of buttermilk.
* 3 T Of vegetable shortening.
* 1 T Of sugar.
* 4 t Of baking powder.
* 4 t Of Butter Flavor {Crisco}.
* 2 t Of salt.
* 1⁄4 t Of baking soda.

DIRECTIONS:

The first thing you need to do is set the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 1- Add in a large mixing bowl the all-purpose flour, salt, and one tablespoon of regular sugar, 4 teaspoons of baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda, then cut in then vegetable shortenings until coarse crumbs resemble the mixture.

Step 2- Just until a soft dough forms, stir in 128 grams of buttermilk, the dough will be very loose and sticky at this point.

Step 3- Dust the flour on a wide wooden surface, and turn the dough onto a floured board and knead gently 12 times or until the board is no longer sticky.

Step 4- Divide your dough in half, and roll each half softly into a 1/2“ thick and 8“ circle.

Step 5- Cut out the biscuits with a 2 inches biscuit knife, pulling straight down.

Step 6- Reform scraps, and work to continue to cut as little as possible.

Step 7- Place slices on an ungreased bakery board with scarcely reaching edges; brush the tops with the whole milk.

Step 8- Bake until golden brown for 15 minutes.

Step 9- After baking, directly brush the biscuits with margarine.

HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!
