1 1/4 c whole milk

9 large pasta shells

1 1/2 c Gruyere, shredded

3 tbsp all-purpose flour

1 tbsp Dijon

1/2-pound ground chicken

salt and pepper to taste

Chives, garnish

For the Crispy Prosciutto:

4 slices prosciutto

Directions:

Prepare the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.

Stuffed Shells:

Place a large pot with water on the stove and turn the heat to high. Allow the water to boil.

Add the shells, then cook until al dente. Remove from the pot.

Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.

Add olive oil and allow it to become hot.

Add the ground chicken, then cook until crumbly and brown.

Season with salt, pepper, and Dijon. Stir until well blended. Transfer the mixture onto a clean plate and set it aside.

In the empty skillet, add butter and allow it to melt.

Add the flour, then whisk and cook for a minute to remove the raw taste.

Add milk, then scrape the bottom of the skillet to get the browned bits. Simmer for a few minutes until the texture becomes thick.

Remove the skillet from the stove, then add the ground chicken, salt, pepper, and 1 cup of Gruyere. Stir until well blended.

Apply cooking spray in an 8×5-inch baking dish.

Fill each prepared shell with 1 tbsp of the chicken mixture. Repeat the process with the rest of the shells and chicken mixture.

Sprinkle a generous amount of Gruyere over each shell.

Cover everything with foil.

Place the baking dish inside the preheated oven and bake the stuffed shells for about 25 minutes.

Remove from the oven.

Sprinkle freshly chopped chives and crispy prosciutto on top to garnish.

Serve and enjoy!

To Make the Crispy Prosciutto:

Apply cooking spray onto a small baking sheet.

Lay the prosciutto onto the prepared baking sheet.

Place it inside the oven and bake for about 3 to 5 minutes or until done.

Remove from the oven and allow them to cool completely at room temperature.

Chop into small pieces.
